Corey launched his career in financial services at the age of 18 by joining his father’s insurance agency and pension administration company. During his academic years at the University of North Texas and The University of Texas at Arlington, he continued to receive extensive training in retirement plan consulting and administration. By 21, Corey had become a securities broker, and by 24, he was the top-producing first-year agent for a national financial services company. In 2000, he founded Callaway Financial Services, Inc., his own broker-dealer, along with an investment advisory firm and insurance corporation. Two decades later, in 2020, he shifted his business to focus solely on investment advisory, phasing out his broker-dealer activities. Corey’s dedication to his clients is evident as he leverages his experience to assist them in achieving their retirement goals.
Apart from his professional endeavors, Corey is deeply involved in his community in Arlington, Texas. He is one of the founding members and a contributing writer for Arlington Today Magazine, which focuses on local news and issues. Over the years, he has held numerous positions in local organizations including president of the Greater Arlington Lions Club, a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, and member of various local groups including the Moslah Shrine and Arlington Masonic Lodge 438. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce and is a past president of the Highlands Rotary Club. Corey has been an active supporter of the Boy Scouts, serving as Assistant Scoutmaster and Scout Master, and celebrated his son and nephews achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. He is also an enthusiastic outdoorsman who enjoys hunting, fishing, and camping with his family.
Before you enter Broker Check I wanted to clarify a derogatory you will see regarding my old Broker Dealer Callaway Financial Services Inc.
I sold my Broker Dealer August 1, 2016. I terminated my relationship with the new owners and my firm June 23, 2020.
I no longer owned Callaway Financial Services Inc., a Broker Dealer. I was no longer employed by Callaway Financial Services, Inc.
The new owners sold the firm again to a group called Bournehill Investment Services. Bournehill did not keep their regulatory filings with FINRA up to date. Bournehill was expelled from membership with FINRA August of 2024.
Due to that FINRA has also labeled Callaway Financial Services, Inc. expelled from membership.
Though quite confusing I Corey Callaway of CFS Advisors, LLC dba Callaway Financial Services a State (Texas) Registered Investment Advisory firm has not been a member of FINRA. And has never been expelled from membership with FINRA since it was never a member of FINRA.
